Popular Nickelodeon UK And Nick Jr. UK Shows Nominated In The Licensing Awards 2014

The licensing business news website Licensing.biz is reporting the exciting Nickelodeon UK news in the following articles that Nickelodeon's hit animated series "SpongeBob SquarePants" and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" and Nick Jr. UK's popular animated series "Peppa Pig" have been nominated for a raft of prestigious awards in the Product, Retail and Marketing Communication Awards and Best Licensed Property portions of The Licensing Awards 2014!


In the Product, Retail and Marketing Communication Awards category, the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" 'Shell-ebration' Cake by Finsbury Foods, pictured below, has been nominated for the "Best Licensed Food or Drink Range" award in the Product, Retail and Marketing Communication Awards.



Additionally, "Peppa Pig" Weebles by Character Options has been nominated for the "Best Licensed Toys or Games Range" award, "Peppa Pig" Tutu Pyjamas for George@Asda from Cooneen By Design has been nominated in the "Best Licensed Pre-school Apparel Range (0-5 years)" category, the "Peppa Pig" Electronic Learning range from KD UK (InspirationWorks) has been nominated for the "Best Written, Listening or Learning Range" award, DTP Europe's "Peppa Pig" Vitamin Gummies have been nominated for the "The Innovation Award", and Tommy's "Peppa Pig Splashathon" has been nominated in the "Best Licensed Marketing Communication Campaign Award" category.

Plus, Tu@Sainsbury's "Guess How Much I Love You Collection" by Paul Dennicci, based on the bestselling "Guess How Much I Love You" picture book by Sam McBratney which has inspired a popular animated series that airs on Nick Jr. UK, has been nominated for the "Best Licensed Pre-school Apparel Range (0-5 years)" award, and the "Peter Rabbit" Gift Range by Rainbow Designs, inspired by Nickelodeon USA and CBeebies' popular animated preschool series of the same name, has been nominated for the "Best Licensed Giftware Range" award.

In the Best Licensed Property categories in The Licensing Awards 2014, Nickelodeon's hit CG-animated series "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" has been nominated for "Best Film or TV Licensed Property".

Nick Jr. UK's popular animated preschool series "Peppa Pig" and "Thomas & Friends" have both been nominated for "Best Pre-school Licensed Property".

Nickelodeon megahit "SpongeBob SquarePants" and Nick Jnr. UK's "Thomas & Friends" have both been nominated for "The Classic Licensed Property Award".

The winners of all the Best Licensed Property award categories will be revealed, alongside the winners of the Product, Retail and Marketing Communication Awards, at The 2014 Licensing Awards, which will be held on Tuesday 26th September 2014 in The Great Room at London's Grosvenor House Hotel.

Finalists for Product, Retail and Marketing Communication Awards unveiled.

Finalists for The Licensing Awards 2014 have now been revealed for the Product, Retail and Marketing Communication Awards.

The finalists for the Property Awards categories will be announced by the end of July. The winners will be revealed at The Licensing Awards event on Tuesday September 16th – in The Great Room at London’s prestigious Grosvenor House Hotel.

Approaching 5,000 licensed products were entered into the Product Awards this year. The Judging Panel comprised of almost 100 top retail buyers, including those from Toys R Us, Tesco, M&S, Sainsbury’s, Next, The Entertainer, Waterstones, Lakeland, Asda, Mothercare, Joy, BHS, Paperchase, Paulton’s Park, Blue Inc, MiniClub and River Island.

The Retailer Award Finalists

The finalists of the Retailer Award categories were decided as a result of an online nomination process involving manufacturers, suppliers and importers of licensed products, inviting them to state which retailers have excelled in their retail delivery of licensed merchandise to the public over the last year. These results were then taken into account by a validation panel of industry experts to arrive at the final line-up.

The finalists in all seven of the Best Licensed Property categories in The Licensing Awards 2014 have been revealed.

The list completes the full finalist roll call for this year, joining those nominated in the Product, Retail and Marketing Communications categories, which were revealed earlier this month.
