UPDATE: Nickelodeon USA To Premiere "The Legend of Korra - Book Three: Change" On Digital Platforms

UPDATE (8/24/2014) - AvatarSpirit.net are reporting that following the news, Bryan Konietzko, co-creator of "Avatar: The Last Airbender" and "The Legend of Korra" issued a response on his official Tumblr blog reassuring fans that "Korra not cancelled. Moving to digital. We'll talk at SDCC. Thanks for caring.", which suggests that Nickelodeon USA will be debuting the remaining episodes of "Book 3: Change", and possibly "Book 4", on digital platforms such as nick.com and/or streaming services such as iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, Vudu, Xbox Video and Playstation Store. Bryan also suggests in his post that Nickelodeon will be announcing news about the future of "Korra" at Comic Con 2014.

Additionally, co-creator Michael Dante DiMartino also commented, on his official Facebook page: "Hang tight, Korra fans. There is 1 new episode this Friday at 8, then the rest of the season will be available from various sites online. We'll let you know when we have more details. Thanks!"

The Nickelodeon USA fanblog Nick and More is reporting the unfortunate news that Nickelodeon USA has decided to suddenly stop showing brand-new episodes from the third season of the networks original animated series "The Legend of Korra", titled "Book Three: Change".

Since Nick USA started to air "Book 3: Change" on Friday 27th June 2014, "The Legend of Korra" has suffered with low ratings, from as high as 1.5 million on the first episode to as low as 1.1 million on the fourth and fifth episodes, meaning it was only a matter of time before episodes were either rescheduled or pulled completely, NaM reports.

Now, the network has started pull all-new episodes of "Korra" completely from their schedule. After airing just seven of the 13 new episodes from "Book Three", Nick USA has pulled one episode from this Friday (25th August 2014) as well as all four episodes from Friday 1st August and Friday 8th August 2014.

However, episode 8, titled "The Terror Within", will still air on Nick USA this Friday at 8:00pm (ET/PT).

There is currently no word on when or which Nickelodeon channel the remaining five episodes will air. However, it is speculated that Nickelodeon will announce when the show returns during the networks "The Legend of Korra" Comic-Con International: San Diego 2014 panel on Friday 25th July 2014.
