Nickelodeon Extends Deadline For Submissions For 2014 International Animated Shorts Program

Alexi Wheeler, the Manager of International Production and Development at Nickelodeon, has announced in a Tweet (post) on his official Twitter profile page, @AlexiWheeler, that Nickelodeon has extended the deadline for the 2014 Nickelodeon International Animated Shorts Program and are now accepting new submissions up until 12:00am (midnight) GMT on Friday 28th March 2014!

After the success of the 2013 International Shorts Program, Nickelodeon is back with Season 2 and are on an ongoing mission to create the funniest animated content for this generation of kids worldwide!

Nickelodeon is looking for your funny, 2-minute animated short ideas which laugh out loud funny, character driven and visually unique!

As part of Nickelodeon International Animated Shorts Program 2014, Nick will choose a minimum of ten pitches to be developed into shorts that will appear on-air and on official Nickelodeon websites globally. These shorts also have the potential of becoming long-form animated series on Nickelodeon. In 2013 Nickelodeon took over 1000 pitches worldwide for the programme.

Ideas will be accepted from a broad pool of creative talent from all quarters including artists, designers, writers, directors and comedians. Creators will be provided with the necessary artistic and production support teams to help them complete their fully animated short. All animation styles are encouraged from 2D, digital 2D, stop motion, CG or mixed media.

You can find the program's full guidelines and submit your short idea here on Nickelodeon's official International Shorts Programme website, www.NickInternationalShorts.com!

Additionally, Nickelodeon is also accepting submissions for the Nick JR. International Animated Shorts Program 2014.

Good luck to everyone who submits an entry into the 2014 Nickelodeon Animated Shorts Programmes!
