Nickelodeon Voice Actors Past And Present Nominated For Awards In 2012 BTVA Voice Acting Awards!

The official Behind The Voice Actors website has announced the fantastic Nickelodeon News that many past and present Nickelodeon voice actors and actresses and popular animated Nickelodeon series have been nominated in the "Television" categories of 2012 BTVA Voice Acting Awards!

Greg Cipes and Rob Paulsen have been nominated in the "Best Male Lead Vocal Performance In A Television Series - Action/Drama" category for their portrayal of Michaelangelo and Donatello, respectively, in Nickelodeon's new "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" TV series, with JK Simmons, for his portrayal of Tenzin in Nickelodeon's original animated series "The Legend of Korra". James Arnold Taylor, who played Sprig Speeva/Crash Nebula in the special episode of "The Fairly OddParents" titled "Crash Nebula", has also been nominated for his portrayal of Obi-Wan Kenobi in "Star Wars: The Clone Wars".

Janet Varney has been nominated in the "Best Female Lead Vocal Performance In A Television Series - Action/Drama" category for her portrayal of heroine Korra in "The Legend of Korra" with Mae Whitman for her portrayal of April O'Neil in Nick's "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles". Grey DeLisle ("Rugrats", "Oh Yeah! Cartoons", "As Told by Ginger", "The Fairly OddParents", "The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius", "My Life as a Teenage Robot", "All Grown Up!", "Danny Phantom", "Angelica and Susie's Pre-School Daze", "Avatar: The Last Airbender", "Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!", "El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera", "Wayside", "Back at the Barnyard", "The Mighty B!", "The Penguins of Madagascar", "T.U.F.F. Puppy", "Winx Club" and "The Legend of Korra") has also been nominated in this category for her portrayal of Aya in "Green Lantern: The Animated Series".

Harland Williams has been nominated in the "Best Male Vocal Performance In A Television Series - Comedy/Musical" category for his performance as as Monster in the all-new original animated Nickelodeon series "Robot and Monster", with Mick Wingert for his portrayal of Po in "Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness". Billy West ("Doug", "The Ren & Stimpy Show", "CatDog", "Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius", "My Life As A Teenage Robot", "Random! Cartoons", and the voice of Zim in the original pilot for Nickelodeon's "Invader Zim") has also been nominated in this category for his portrayal of Philip J. Fry in the popular 30th Century Fox Animation animated series "Futurama", with his co-star John DiMaggio, who plays Bender Bending Rodríguez in "Futurama".

Kari Wahlgren has been nominated in the "Best Female Vocal Performance In A Television Series - Comedy/Musical" category for her role as Tigress in "Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness", along with Grey DeLisle for her role as Daphne Blake in "Scooby-Doo: Mystery Inc.".

Dee Bradley Baker and Steve Blum have been nominated in the "Best Male Vocal Performance In A Television Series In A Supporting Role - Action/Drama" category for their portrayal of Tarrlok and Amon, respectively, in "The Legend of Korra", along with Clancy Brown (Mr. Krabs in "SpongeBob SquarePants") for Savage Opress in "Star Wars: The Clone Wars", Tom Kenny (SpongeBob SquarePants) for Doctor Octopus in "Ultimate Spider-Man" and Daran Norris ("Fairly OddParents", "T.U.F.F. Puppy", "Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide" and "Big Time Rush") for Knock Out in "Transformers: Prime".

Mindy Sterling has been nominated in the "Best Female Vocal Performance In A Television Series In A Supporting Role - Action/Drama" category for her role as Lin Beifong in "Legend of Korra", along with Lacey Chabert (Eliza Thornberry in "The Wild Thornberrys" and Ruth P. McDougal in "Hey Arnold!") for Zatanna in "Young Justice" and Tara Strong ("The Rugrats Movie", "The Wild Thornberrys Movie", "Rugrats Go Wild", "A Fairly Odd Movie: Grow Up, Timmy Turner!", "Big Time Rush", "Rugrats", "Sabrina the Teenage Witch", "The Fairly OddParents", "All Grown Up!", "Danny Phantom", "Avatar: The Last Airbender", "Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!", "The Penguins of Madagascar", "Random! Cartoons", and "Rugrats: All Growed Up – Older and Bolder") for Mary Jane Watson in
"Ultimate Spider-Man".

James Hong has been nominated in the "Best Male Vocal Performance In A Television Series In A Supporting Role - Comedy/Musical" category for his portrayal of Mr. Ping in "Kung Fu Panda: Legends", along with Mr. SpongeBob SquarePants, Tom Kenny, for his role as Ice King in "Adventure Time" and Patrick Stewart (King Goobot in "Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius") for Avery Bullock in "American Dad!".

Cree Summer has been nominated in the "Best Female Vocal Performance In A Television Series In A Supporting Role - Comedy/Musical" category for her role of Spitfire in "Robot and Monster", with Nicole Sullivan ("The King of Queens") for her role as Marlene on "The Penguins of Madagascar"

Eva Marie Saint has been nominated for her portrayal of "Katara" in "The Legend of Korra" in the "Best Female Vocal Performance In A Television Series In A Guest Role".

In addition, the whole voice casts of the popular Nicktoon series "Robot & Monster", "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" and "The Legend of Korra" have been nominated in the "Best Vocal Ensemble In A New Television Series" category.

Plus, the full voice cast of "The Penguins of Madagascar" has been nominated for "Best Vocal Ensemble In A Television Series - Comedy/Musical", and the whole voice cast of "SpongeBob SquarePants" has been nominated for "Best Vocal Ensemble In A Television Series - Children's/Educational".

Grey DeLisle has also been nominated in the "Best Female Vocal Performance In A TV Special/Direct-To-DVD Title Or Theatrical Short" category in the "Special/DVD" award section for her role as Maid Marion in "Tom and Jerry: Robin Hood and His Merry Mouse", with Mae Whitman for her portrayal of Tinker Bell in "Tinker Bell and the Secret of the Wings".

Dee Bradley Baker and Tom Kenny have been nominated for the prestigious "Male Voice Actor Of The Year" award, and Grey DeLisle and Tara Strong have been nominated for prestigious "Female Voice Actress Of The Year" in the "General" section of the awards.

The Legend of Korra's Janet Varney has been nominated for "Breakthrough Voice Actor Of The Year".

Curtis Armstrong has been nominated for his portrayal of Robot in "Robot and Monster" in the "Best Vocal Creation Of A New Character (Fire Time Being Animated)" category, with Tim Curry ("100 Deeds for Eddie McDowd", "Hey Arnold!", "Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius", Zimbo in "AAAHH!!! Real Monsters" and Nigel Thornberry in "The Wild Thornberrys") for his role as Sorcerer in "Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja". Tom Kenny has also been nominated for "Best Performance In A Narrating Role" for "SpongeBob SquarePants", along with Stephen Fry (Nick Jr. UK's "Pocoyo") for "LittleBigPlanet Karting".
